On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, the eve of Thanksgiving, something truly remarkable unfolded in our city—a moment of compassion and unity that reminds us all of the true spirit of the holiday season.

David Hudson, a dedicated local community leader and activist, brought together a group of New Orleans business owners with one mission: to spread hope, restore dignity, and reunite families for the holidays. Together, they bonded out several inmates from Orleans Parish Prison, giving them the opportunity to be home with their loved ones for Thanksgiving.

The effort was made possible by the generosity of local businesses such as Thai Nola, Royal Financial Tax Services, and Patio 17 Nola, among others. These businesses joined forces to give back to the community in a profound way, proving once again that small actions of kindness can create ripple effects of change.

At Louisiana Mobile Billboards, we were honored to sponsor five hours of our Operation Drive-By service to celebrate these individuals as they walked into freedom. Our trucks displayed a heartfelt "Welcome Home, Happy Thanksgiving" message, creating a moment of joy and connection as they began their next chapter surrounded by family and community support.
